"A lot of the time when I write about the person that I love, I feel like I'm writing about New York." - Lana Del Rey

DAY 1-
Arrival, not a lot to talk about here. We got settled in and walked around NYC for the rest of the day. We didn't eat anywhere special. We had a T.G.I. Fridays across the street from us so we ate there. Jan, our foreign exchange student from Thailand, introduced me to a Thai drink called Milk Tea. It was in the heart of China Town, which was also cool because I have never been to China Town. The tea was really good and you can swap normal milk for any plant based milk, which I obviously loved.

DAY 2-
We stayed in an apartment on W44th street. We were steps from Times Square and the 49th street subway! (a little tip from me to you: if you're staying in NYC for a week or so pay $32 to get an unlimited Metro Card for the week). It was so nice waking up in the morning and hopping on the subway for a new adventure. The first full day in NYC, we went downtown. Faith, Jan, and Damien wanted to go through the WTC museum. My grandma and I decided to go to the top of the One World Trade Center. We had never done this before and it was truly amazing! It was pretty foggy on the morning that we did it and there wasn't a lot of visibility, but it was still worth it.
After that, I decided to find a vegan restaurant called by CHLOE. I instantly fell in love! I ended up going there a couple of times throughout my stay. I also found one closer to the apartment in Rockefeller Plaza.

THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE-
Since it was Jan's first time in New York we tried to show her all of the touristy spots so she could get the full NYC experience. The Brooklyn Bridge is always a must visit and its free. You take a quick subway ride to Brooklyn and then walk over the bridge to Manhattan. I always tell first timers to make sure they put it on their itinerary. The views are incredible.

ROMPER (not exact, but similar)

DAY 3-
I had lunch alone at by CHLOE. once again. I told myself that I was going to walk from Greenwich back to the apartment. On my way back, I stopped into a ton of boutiques. My favorite was J. Galt, it reminded me of a Brandi Melville store but way more vintage. I also went into Anthropology, Free People, and many more. When I got back to the apartment everyone was waiting for me since we had matinee tickets to The Phantom of the Opera!! I have seen Wicked, Marry Poppins, Les Mis, and Chicago on Broadway, but I probably wouldn't see them again. This was my second time seeing Phantom and I was more in love than the first time I saw it. I think us being third row also helped a lot. I would definitely recommend spending the extra cash to sit closer to the stage!

After Phantom, I walked around and went shopping some more. I picked up a blue sports bra and leggings from Forever 21 to go with my new J. Galt cropped sweater I purchased earlier for the plane ride home :(. I also stopped at Urban Outfitters where I got a LEO necklace. It's so rare to find anything Leo related.
DAY 4-
We waited in a longggggggg line for the ferry over to Liberty Island (a little tip from me to you: If you don't want to wait/pay to see the Statue of Liberty, take the Staten Island ferry. Go towards the left side of the boat and you have a free view of Lady Liberty.) Once we finally got onto the island, we got our pics and the rest of the group went to Ellis Island. I opted out and decided to explore the city some more. We all met up for dinner. Jan picked the place, it was an authentic Thai place called Wondee Siam. It's a small, popular place so make sure to get their early to get a good spot.

Day 5-
We had a flight at 3pm, so we got to walk around a bit in the morning! We literally had Times Square to ourselves! Faith and I walked to Starbucks, then to Central Park. After Central Park I decided I wanted a juice from Joe's Juice. I also spent some time on 5th Avenue just window shopping and looking at diamonds at Tiffany's. I also wore my cropped sweater that I talked about purchasing earlier from J. Galt that I paired with the blue leggings from F21. By this point my feet were so blistered and gross. I had to purchase a pair of slides from Payless haha.
